Happy for 2021 being over why?

Let me know in the comments!

LET’S GO 2022~

  • Less quarantine, now only 5 days with no symptoms **Prayer hands** thank you CDC

  • The possibility of a new year free from all lockdowns. 2021 New year was riddled with closures still for a few months....

  • Time to get back to our extracurricular's that make us happy! These three years of depression has really got to all of us.

  • Make the next step you must take smaller if your mountain is too high! We got this.

Making a new year’s resolution, AGAIN?

This year let's start simple- we can start with the goal of drinking more water this year.

Don’t say to yourself "I’m going to start drinking more water this year" Say "I drink a liter of water a day and I enjoy the effects on my body/life/health " Say this every day and make a note in your phone to remind you in the morning to fill a bottle for the day to bring to work/school or follow you wherever your children take you. Next make this a recurring event for the next 60 days YEP. I Said 60. According to research 21 days of an action does not create a permanent habit. It is a 1/3 of the habit-forming process. You must go a total of 60 days doing the habit you want to instill to have any effects on your life and change. If you normally buy a coffee in the morning and you want to switch to the water bottle daily instead you must start by consciously deciding "I can change and am willing to change what i do for a different outcome" If you can't even decide that you’re willing to change, the effort will be useless, and you will go back to your old habits regardless. Stop reading now and come back when you decide you actually want to change and are willing to make the small sacrifices involved.

Once you've decided this you can then make the choice to buy the new water bottle, set the schedule in your phone and also while you’re in this planning and prepping phase you should also decide whether and when you deserve a reward for all the hard work you are doing- it is HARD to stop anything cold turkey, especially in a world where you can and should have what you want.... most of the time. LOL so after a good 1 day maybe you treat yourself with some type of candy you like, or even a coffee for the good effort you made the day prior. but keep the water habit, then take a few more days of success before you reward yourself again. now maybe you have gone 3 days more with water and you are really wanting that coffee, if you completed if your water goal you most definitely may deserve a coffee as a reward for a good week. then try and say no to it for 7 days see if you can go and don't give up at the first sign of hardship. It will be hard but keep it up and you will no doubt make progress.

Share with me your new year’s resolutions for this year!
